I Don'T Mind The Rain Poem by bob barci

I Don'T Mind The Rain

It’s raining
and I don’t mind
for, I know where I am going
and what I am going to do.
I don’t mind the rain
when it soaks me to the skin.
No, I don’t mind.
I don’t mind the rain.
It keeps me on the ground
ankle deep in rain puddles.
I don’t mind the rain
when it washes me clean
of the blues I might have felt.
It produces a kind of stillness
that I find hard to describe.
Wet, and gray, and still.
So, very still.
It puts me in a special mood
I don’t want to leave behind.
No, I don’t mind,
I don’t mind the rain.
