I Don'T Have A Story To Tell Poem by Sheikh Ahmed Tijan Bah

I Don'T Have A Story To Tell

Rating: 5.0

I have a story to tell
No, I'm just kidding; I'm just looking for something to sell
And since what I do is poetry
Good merchandise would be a story
But I really have none
So I'm sitting here staring at the Sun
No, I'm kidding again, its evening
And besides, i couldn't stare at the sun if it was shinning

But this has got me thinking
What am I doing?
I'm a poet that doesn't write about his feelings
And I'm still a kid so I don't have many dealings
I only write when I have an inspiration
And lately something seems to be wrong with my imagination
May be I haven't served it, its favorite dish
Or maybe it just wants a kiss

So I guess I'm only left with narration of a story
Let me check with my memory
"Story compartment of memory is empty"
But my life is not empty
How comes I have no story worth narrating
May be my childhood, needs revisiting

Vroom! ! ! gone and back
"99999 stories found, arranged in a stack"
So what is the problem?
Why can't I narrate them?
"They are not worthy"
Wow! Wait, I got it!

Remember that time I didn't have a poem to write?
And I sat on my chair thinking of what to write
"Yes, so, what about it? "
If I wrote about that, it would be a hit
I remember it all, I can write all down
"Yes, but dude, that's this poem you are writing right now"
