I Do Not Weep Poem by ANDREW BLAKEMORE

I Do Not Weep

Rating: 4.8

I do not weep at what I see
Those tears have all been cried,
I do not weep for I am strong
And feelings I can hide,
I do not weep for I'm a man
And only children cry,
Nor do I weep when winds have blown
Some dust into my eye.

I do not weep when I'm in pain
I hide my hurt away,
I do not weep when things go wrong
And blue skies turn to grey,
I do not weep when sorrow fills
My sad and lonely heart,
I weep because I cannot smile
For love from me did part.

A clever poem, fun to recite. I like the rhyme scheme and syllable structure. Very nice.
