This poem sort of meanders around, so perhaps Uriah is right that it reflects the maddening illogical poetry of love. The third stanza sort of arrives out of nowhere. The poem would be fine without it out although it provides a breather from the logic knots in the other stanzas. (Report) Reply

Oh! A really wonderful poem! It shows a chaos of emotion, as if hiding a bomb about to explode. (Report) Reply

this poem show to me that this person does not know what they want, or it's just that the love this person so much that they do not want to hurt then. There for you ca not love them.

This poem to me reflects a struggle. A war between the passion the heart is feeling and the logic of the mind..Thoughts and feelings are a classic struggle. “We do not chose love, love chooses us” Sometimes we deeply love someone, or something, despite the facts why we shouldn’t. Like an addiction “I do not see you but love you blindly” I love you madly and sometimes it’s beyond my control. What should one do, follow their heart, or use their brain and try to do what is right? (Report) Reply

This poem to me, feels like a unconditional way of looking, and longing for love for all who; where, are, and who will be. Could also feel a powerful thought of a blessing/lesson, that we are all Family.....Everything that is, that exsists, have ways of communication, and finding ways to futher the healing pains. This poem is very inspiring.

poet John Clare

I love to see the old heath's withered brake
Mingle its crimpled leaves with furze and ling,
While the old heron from the lonely lake
Starts slow and flaps its melancholy wing,
