I Do Not Have Much Poem by maria goodison

I do not have much to give but my feeling are
strong and true.
I may bang my head and tear the house down from
time to time but I'm happy that i can cuddle
you.
I sometime lose my temper and fling a cup or
two at you but find comfort in claiming in to
bed next to you.
I do not have much just a point of view and the
will to stand strong.
And still I'm overcome with your kisses and awesome
cup's of tea.
You let me scream, shout and cry, bang my head and wish
that the day never arrived.
You've not ask for a thing but you've made me laugh
smile and sing.
I do not have a lot and keep asking why you stand beside
me, how you're still with me throw all the dark.
But my feeling are strong and true i only want to be with
you.
