I Do...I Doubt... (Structured Poem)

I DO...
(structured in cinquain chain)

'I do'
so short a word
even it meant so strong
the longest sentence in the world
it's true...

'I do'
such sacred word
the lovely bride in June
as she told her handsome groom
be good!

'I do'
he promised true
when they face the altar
can they really click together?
who knows?

I DOUBT
(structured in rictameter scheme)

this love,
words set in gold
by a man who had swore,
to win the lady's heart and soul
to walk the aisle to exchange sweet 'I do's'
bittersweet taste of life ahead
in each mind now at stake
to quit or stay
this love

woman,
behold this man
with covenant once sworn
now slowly turning tarnished dream
married life's difficulties not foreseen
a quest to conquer or defeat
shared through thickness and thin
the love that was loved then
fading...hurting
woman

I doubt...
another chance
commiting, promising
renewing and reconciling
painful memories of those days gone by
hopeful this time love is to last
sweeter the second round
will it work now?
I doubt...
