I Did Once Dream

I dreamt I was a shadow
And quivered in my bed.
I saw my headstone shattered,
And sweat poured down my head.
I thought myself a villain,
But I could never win.
I had a frightening vision
That I had never been.

Poem of the Day

poet Sir Walter Scott

The moon's on the lake, and the mist's on the brae,
And the Clan has a name that is nameless by day;
Then gather, gather, gather Grigalach!
Gather, gather, gather Grigalach!
