I Couldn't Have Been More Lucky Poem by Ray Hansell

I Couldn't Have Been More Lucky

All my days of loneliness
That my heart has been through
All those lonely days
I only thought of you

A full moon in the sky
Dark clouds slowly drifting by
Every night I think of you
Wondering what, it is you do

You are always on my mind
Morning, noon and night
You are the woman
Who makes my life so right

I watch the changing seasons
From cold to spring time warm
I watch the sun set at night
I watch it rise at dawn

All these things of beauty
That capture my eyes each day
None of them can compare
To the feeling I get when you look my way

I love you with all my heart
It will always be that way
I couldn't have been more lucky
Then I was the day you came my way
