I Could Come And Get You Poem by Marilyn White

I Could Come And Get You

I know where you are
How would I reach you?
When I get there
If ever I do
I’ll be here waiting for you
To come knocking
On my door
Like you have done
I know that you are
Reaching out
I don’t how to help you
It saddens me to think
That you have picked me
For all your answers
I am not what you think
I could care less if you make it
Only you got to help me
Make that change to
I can’t carry this
Whole world by self
That I don’t agree with
All that much any more
All I wanted to do
Is be a part of your
Little group I don’t
Want to play that
Childish game you call life
I don’t want to jump
In your cried river of love
I most certainly don’t
Want to be your caged bird
Just let me am to wonder around you
Singing songs this bird was meant to
Loud and clear shut me out
But you will never shut me up
That is something that you will
Never do even through you
Still hurt me I moved on
Look who is still the same
Playing games that won’t
I tried to tell you
