I Caught A Little Rhyme (Children's Poem) Poem by Ronald Chapman

I Caught A Little Rhyme (Children's Poem)

Once upon a time.
I caught a little rhyme.

I set it on the table.
But it jumped from its cradle.

I chased it on my knees.
But it did flee.

I scooped it in my hand.
But it turned into a marching band.

I caught it by its horn.
But it turned into a rose thorn.

I followed it to school.
But it turned into a pool.

When, I fed it water.
It became taller.
