I Cant Name That Pain Poem by Pradip Chattopadhyay

I Cant Name That Pain

Rating: 4.8

i cant name that pain
when i see a human foraging food
beneath a large hoarding of a restaurant

i cant express that feeling of helplessness
when i see a human feasting on leftovers
thrown by a mouth too full to gorge more

i cant put in words that paralytic numbness
when i see a human and an animal together
pouring on the roadside bin for something

i cant give all these pains a name

or tell you about them in a rhymed poem.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
The earth's resource is there
For each among us to equally share
But that can't happen
So long the greed of gain
Keeps man insane.

Great sentiments and well versed. Probably this can be a good advocate for homeless or for the pooer people. Nice work.

How you have expressed the very same sentiments I feel on seeing such sights! Onething so depressing to see is the starved face of a human particularly that of a child! While on one side, people spulrge in a plethora of dishes, on the other side, people raiding dust bins for bits of food with stray dogs! A great write especially with the notes given below! A10

You don't need to name the pain or make your poem rhyme. Words from a caring person are said in a special language that is so beautiful. Not everyone understands, but those of us who do, feel united with you and understand you perfectly. Blessings to you.

Very poignant and the truth we see us around but fail to express and turn away helpless that you have successfully portrayed here.......Pradipji.....very well composed....
