I Can'T Help Myself Poem by Melody Stargaze

Less than a week has gone by,
We got together and already I,
Have those terrible butterflies.

Like the song says, 'Only fools rush in',
But those feelings had to eventually begin.
And here I am falling in love again.

My rational mind knows it's too short of a time,
And a relationship this short is just an uphill climb,
To the feelings that I got goin' on here.

I shouldn't have said anything to you yet,
And now that I did, I'm starting to regret,
Putting that pressure on you.

I want to enjoy the ride we put ourselves on,
I want to embrace these feelings that have me drawn,
To you and your many perfections.

Let's hope that you'll soon feel the same,
And thus we kindle a flame,
Because I just can't help myself.
