I Can Dream

  everyone is what they are
whether it is what
they want to be
or not
and everything will do
exactly what it does
without a second thought
and there's no changing
a mind
or the world
and if they're the same
to you
you just won't make it through
those warm summer
nights
when nothing seems right and
what is beautiful succeeds
without you
