I Can Claim As My Own Poem by Francis Duggan

I Can Claim As My Own

In the Literary World an almost unknown
Yet the rhymes that I pen I can claim as my own
For many years now I have been a rhyme buff
And like many more I have penned loads of stuff
I penned my first rhymes in fields near Millstreet Town
In my mid to late twenties when my hair was dark brown
Inspired by the beauty I see around me
In Nature there's so much to write of and see,
I have always loved Nature since I was a boy
And my walks in her quiet places I still enjoy
And rhymes on Mother Nature and life are not hard to write
And post by computer to a literary site
I am not a fellow of literary note
Or I never lay claim to the title of poet.
