I Called Out To Love Poem by Lora Colon

I Called Out To Love

Rating: 5.0

I called out to Love,
I spoke its name,
With humility I begged,
And I cried in shame

I called out to Love,
While my tears fell,
Searching for a guiding light
In which I could dwell

I called out to Love,
Please, come near me,
But I called out too softly,
It did not hear me

I called out to Love,
I raised my voice,
Louder and louder, I called,
It gave me no choice

I called out to Love,
It heard my plea.....
No.... it was just an echo
That was mocking me!

Your call of love is universal, and timely call, the world needs love not the hate that results in wars and terror. A beautiful poem.

It's a beautiful, and sad, poem. Hopeful for a moment, than dashed by an echo. I like it a lot.
