I Call Her Ocean Poem by Richard Noggin

I Call Her Ocean

Anxious inside I run
To listen to her calming melody
She wraps her arms gently around me
Like a mother cradling
A child who just woke from a bad dream
Pleading with me to give up my inner struggle of depression
As I sit on her bed
Not wanting to leave
Do to the peace I feel
I am faced with the reality
That I cannot take this stranger home
I leave not knowing her name
So I remember her as Ocean
