I And The ‘evil Poem by Ojedokun Olajide

I And The ‘evil

I have dined with the ‘evil
Not with a big spoon but a small one
I dined with him
No one being cheated, no one consuming less

We laughed and played together
I, within felt no fear
Cos he wasn't what they said he was
Though, he really was stubborn

I dined with him, the ‘evil
Not a mere hallucination
So real it was
That I forgot who I really was

He, his taboos
Do not touch his beard
Do not flick his tail
And he will bruise you not

I have dined with the ‘evil
Not with a big spoon
I dined with him
To prove that axiom false

I laughed, I played with him
I ate and wined with him
All this and many more did I
While I still in the world was lost.
