I Am With You Poem by Marlene Rashidi

I Am With You

When you're all alone in the darkness
When the sores of your heart from the
heart breaks starts to ache.
When they leave scars on your chest
remember, I'll be next to you.
When tears break a fall, don't worry
I'll wipe 'em away. I'll be your guardian
angel. No harm shall come upon you, for I
am with you. At night I'll read you a bedtime
story, sing you a soft song, and kiss you
goodnight. I'm not going to reject you. I am
with you in flesh and in spirit. I am with you,
through rough times and fun times. Through grief
and joyful times, consider my spirit next to yours
When you feel rejected and all your opinions are objected,
I'll be the shadow that stands up for you. When you're bored
and need entertainment, I'll read you a poem; A poem
of how a mother loves her dear son as I do.
