I Am The Snake Poem by Suzanne Hayasaki

I Am The Snake

Rating: 5.0

I am the Leviathan.
I existed before God.
I am greater than God.
He cannot slay me.
If he were to cut off my head I would sprout three new ones in its place.

I am the Ouroboros.
I eat my tail in the endless cycle of birth and rebirth.
I am the recycling of time itself.
I am the alpha and the omega and the alpha again.

I am the labyrinth.
My coils are the caves of wisdom: Gaia’s womb.
All exists within me.
None can sense my true dimensions.
I spiral outwards to infinity and beyond.

It was I who spoke to Eve in the Garden of Eden.
It was also I who wrapped Buddha in seven coils for seven days under the bodhi tree to protect him from the storm.
It is in my cosmic waters that Vishnu sleeps.

I am the Loch Ness monster.
Many come in search of me.
Some may catch a glimpse.
But none can say they have captured me.

I speak in silence to a chosen few.

I am Truth.
