I Am Quite A Lucky Fellow Poem by Francis Duggan

I Am Quite A Lucky Fellow

I am a lucky fellow luck's always on my side
Since so many i grew up with are in poor health or have died
I feel lucky in my friendships and the people i do know
And i am not complaining others give me a fair go
And i am not complaining for my lack of success
Since i am rather lucky that i know of happiness
And I'd rather be a happy battler than an unhappy millionaire
Worried about business dealings and a prisoner of care
I feel happy to be healthy everyone not as blessed as i
And i did have a good innings if tomorrow i should die,
Never did have a bad accident and always did enjoy good health
Something money can't buy 'tis the greatest form of wealth
A less fortunate one than i would not be that hard to find
Since I'm a very lucky fellow, lady luck to me is kind.
