I Am Gay Poem by Amudipe Opeyemi Marcus

I Am Gay

Audience I seek among my folks
Give me the minstrel seat I pray
Humour I seek not to give
I have a confession to make

Against the ways of my folks
I found love in odd places
She for He, blindly I fell
For a being in my own fashion

Like a baby longs for the milk
I long for his touch, caressing my temple
In odds places, His Lips on mine
Saliva's exchange sending life down my throat

A dozen plus two years I defiled
I am gay! ! ! , I'm in love with a fellow man
His love no woman can give
The Son of God I fell in love with.
I'm gay.
