I Am Death



I am Death
Whom many fear
To face directly
When I'm near

I am Death
Used as a joke
When really I
scare all folk

I am Death
Unmerciful
When it's time
to take a soul

I am Death
And I take your life
Your lover, your friend,
Your husband, you wife

I am Death
Misunderstood
Because I take what I need
But not what I could.
