I Am Cold And Wet Poem by Ronald Chapman

I Am Cold And Wet

I am cold and wet!
I wonder when I will rest,
I hear rain falling,
I see lightning flashing,
I want to get dry,
I am cold and wet!

I pretend I am standing on a hot sunny ocean beach,
I feel tired,
I touch my head,
I worry, I may be getting sick,
I cry enough with this!
I am cold and wet!

I understand this will not last,
I say, 'Please sun. Chase this rain away to the past.'
I dream of walking in the park on a clear day,
I try to stay out of the rain.
It's a pain!
I hope this rain stops soon.
I am cold and wet!
