I Am Beautiful Poem by Lauren Beasley

I Am Beautiful

Rating: 5.0

I may not have the most striking features
The sharpest jaw
The biggest eyes
The fullest lips
But I am beautiful

I may not have the most stunning figure
The slimmest waist
The longest legs
The curviest hips
But I am beautiful

I have eyes that pierce
a face that welcomes
a smile that brightens
hands that grip
And because of that, I am beautiful

I have arms that hold
a chest that embraces
hips that dance
legs that skip
And because of that, I am beautiful

I may not have the most striking features
I may not have the most stunning figure
I may not be the perfect picture
But because of that,
I am beautiful

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
October 23,2014. I was looking in the mirror one day, and I was thinking, you know, I'm not the perfect picture of our society's concept of 'beauty, ' but I am actually beautiful. I have charming qualities that make me unique and beautiful, be it physical or spiritual. And I think it's important for everyone to remember that they are beautiful because of their uniquely individual characteristics.
