I Am Alone Poem by Darryn John Murphy

I Am Alone

What words are spoken with ruthless tongue
Beneath the light of yon golden sun
For seldom are these words foretold
Within the realm of the bitter cold

What light beyond my window
Calls to this fate
For here I am and now I wait
Before the seal of heavens gate

By light of drawn and break of day
On bended knee I pray to thee
Oh hollow one now answer me
Beside the shore amidst the sea
Oh hollowed one I call to thee

By flight of feather and flint of stone
By sword of steel, and hatchet thrown
By mended heart and broken bone
This is my heart and yet I have no home
For in this world, I am alone
