I am a woman

I AM A WOMAN
I stand up high and lift my head up
I walk tall as the world stares
Ke swara thipa ka bogaleng
Ke seedi Ke bonegela ditšhaba ga Ke kganye eupja Ke kganya ya mapaale
I never let a being turn me down…hurt me…intimidate me
I use my power to boost my confidence
I use my skills to produce good deeds
Ke mphatlalatšane Ke naledi ya masa
Ke letšoba la Afrika Borwa Ke setswatswa
Ke ngwedi wa letopanta gare ga mpa ya bošego
Ke mmetli Ke betla bokamoso bja ditšhaba
I live up to my dreams and make them reality
I fight for what is rightfully mine
I live and let live…encourage and empower
I build up the nation for I foresee great future
Ngi zala abantu ngi imbokodo
Ngi khathalela abantu bam, ngi umfazi wa mampela
Diphefong tša madimo Ke a phatša
Through hardships I never fall down
In every condition I fit in
I get hurt, cry but pretend to be fine
I love deeply for I care, I provide
I protect and become untouchable
I have great expectations I respect
Ke mosadi wa nnete, Ke motswadi, Ke molekani
Gare ga ditšhabatšhaba Ke ikemelela
Ke galagatša lentšu laka gore ke kwale le dithabeng tša Drakensburg
Ke moloti ke mohlokomedi ke mmamoratwa
Ke a itlhompha ke a ithata ke katse ke a itatswa ke senoinoi ke sethakga
Ee! ke MOSADI
Am Wonderful, Outstanding, Marvelous, Adorable and Nice
Yes I AM A WOMAN

Poem of the Day

poet Wilfred Owen

All sounds have been as music to my listening:
Pacific lamentations of slow bells,
The crunch of boots on blue snow rosy-glistening,
Shuffle of autumn leaves; and all farewells:
