i aint no rebel that old man says
no sir aint no rebel

i aint tryin to cause no trouble
so hell i aint no rebel

they take his job away
i aint no rebel he says

they take his home away
but no i aint no rebel

they take his kids away for some non existent crime
but no he says, no, i aint no rebel, i aint no rebel

they put his wife to 'sleep' because she's 'dangerous' to society
but still no he aint no rebel

then one day they come round for him
and he still sayin i aint no rebel, no sir i aint no rebel

now if you go on walkin down that street you can still hear him
i aint no rebel, i aint no rebel

so you see one day in our country this is how its gonna be done
the people are aint gonna be no rebels but still they'll be takin by the 'people'
cause heck they aint no rebels, no way are they rebels.
