I, A Fly Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

I, A Fly

I, a fly

I, a fly on the wall of a shrine
Dance and sing Sufi songs

I, a fly on the wall of the bar
Raise a glass to those ‘kind’

I, a fly on mosque’s wall
Cup the hands Pray for all

I, a fly on church-wall
Kneel, repent hypocrite

I, a fly on synagogue’s wall
Full of claims; reject all

I, a fly in open without bound
Share love-heart with skies.
