Hypothetical Haibun
If there was a couple
who met for lunch
in a cafe
on the ground floor
of a building
that had given sanctuary
to love that wouldn't wait
this would be the haiku
written for a woman
who defused a lobby guard
with a family tree
across the table
far beneath the fourteenth floor
a distant cousin
