Hurt Poem by Kerri Foxx

Hurt

The sun shines behind me
but I can't see
Immersed in darkness
surrounded by trees
Angels from above
silhouetted by shadows
Their halos are dimmed
The smiles turned to smirks
Instead of everyone smiling
Everyone is getting hurt

Patient is ignorance
Ignorance is kind
But not if you really want to survive

The sun shines behind me
but I can't see
Immersed in darkness
surrounded by trees
Angels from above
silhouetted by shadows
Their halos are dimmed
The smiles turned to smirks
Instead of everyone smiling
I'm the one getting hurt
