Hunter S Thompson Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Hunter S Thompson

I dreamed the sixties lasted forever
Love is an impressionistic museum
Ideals melt like a blood filled rainbow
Lay me forever
She believed in me
I still believe in her

Cynical and narcissistic
Hard bitten reality
Flowers of yellow, blue and red
Scales weigh every brazen thought
Sometimes I hate my neighbors
They seem nosey and stodgy

I still listen to the Doors and Hendrix
What really moved me besides my family?
My first real kiss
LSD
Art and poetry
My acceptance of Christ

Hunter S Thompson touched my life
