Humanity Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Humanity

Humanity

Men are all made equal,
They say,
But are not
Treated that way.

We boast equality
And the rights of men
But what rights these are
We don't comprehend.

We treat each other
Equally we say
But we treat each other
Any old way.

I suggest we all grow up.
This might make a difference.
Men are all made equal they say,
But they are not treated this way.
