Hug O'War

I will not play at tug o' war.
I'd rather play at hug o' war,
Where everyone hugs
Instead of tugs,
Where everyone giggles
And rolls on the rug,
Where everyone kisses,
And everyone grins,
And everyone cuddles,
And everyone wins.

In the depth of the poem lies the perfect humanity and love of human beings. The poet proclaims for hug of war which is a great message that is peace. (Report) Reply

I love this sweet poem. It should be a childhood poem for every child's mind to learn by heart. I am going to add this to my grand children's memories of sweet memorable verse. (Report) Reply

Dost see how unregarded now
That piece of beauty passes?
There was a time when I did vow
