HOWL DOWN THE SCREAMING WIND

Howl down the screaming wind
Stem flow of innocent blood
Rescue souls from a whirlpool's trap
Floundering amidst thunderous waves
Dashed and broken on jagged rocks.

War mongers cries surge out of control
Silencing prayers for peace
Lies are told to quell war’s panic
Inmates run the asylum
Madness births our destruction.

You speak the truth and speak it well.

The first two lines grab the reader, setting the sage for a message that cries to be heard.

This has a certain music to it, Colin. I look for that in a poem. Also, there is the metaphor of the 'ferocious wind.' This is nicely done.
