How Was I To Know?
You always held your head high
Never ever saw you cry
Solid like a rock, I thought
Had no clue you were distraught
Tell me, how was I to know?
The feelings you wouldn't show
The deep pain you must have felt
Seeing the cards you were dealt
And never telling a soul
That must have taken a toll
I'll always remember you
The way you would want me to
And when I see you again
I hope to call you my friend
