How Like A Bird

How like a bird you are
Heroic canary
In my heart’s mine
Gull hung in the wind
Watching the sun rise
Fragile, I reach for you
Perhaps you’ll fly with me
Two gulls held
In life’s wind
Eagles
To soar again…
