How Insignificant Is Man Poem by Juan Olivarez

How Insignificant Is Man

How insignificant is man,
Standing on a mountain high?
Wondering if somehow he can,
Reach up and touch the sky.

How insignificant is man,
Standing on the shore?
With his toes stuck in the sand,
As he listens to the roar.

How insignificant is man,
Not insignificant at all.
If he can appreciate the land,
Then he really can stand tall.
