How I Write Poetry Poem by Jesus Diaz Llorico

'I listen to the songs
for the lonely hearts
not because I'm sad
but because it brings
the best in me
that I can write freely
and completely
for there's spirituality
and true emotions
in every song played
I find that lonely music
soothes the senses
and it frees my mind
to explore more
to dream and discover...
for if I listen to happy
and livelier songs
I can't find the rhythm
there's no inspiration
to guide me by
this is how I write
and do my poetry.'
