Of all the things I rember
Of all the things that hold on to me,
in a shadowed hand of darkness
Of all the things I forgot
Of all the things I lost,
in the fiery eyes of fates dawn
I remain captured by a single notion
just one thing.
I wish I could remember,
how I forgot to breathe.
For in that moment
you didn't see me or know me
You simply touched me.
A place I had thought lost
or inpenetrable to one's heart
Then you left and remain gone
Since that day
I feel a void encompassed in stone
where my heart used to be.
Does it beat still?
I wonder as I sing your lullaby in agony
Thinking on how many people
will hear me see me and know me
But I know they can never touch me again
As that place is frozen
and I give my trust the fiercest loathing
Even though I wish to remember one thing
just how I forgot to breathe.
