HOW HAPPY I AM / THE FIGHTING IS OVER FOR NOW

How happy I am
The Fighting is over for now
No more shooting at us
No more death and injury on our side
No more killing of them
Quiet
A return to ordinarily life
For those not permanently damaged
In this round-

For over one hundred years
They have been trying to throw us out

Thank God we
We are still here
Stronger now than ever before-

And God Bless
The Lives and Memories
Of those
Who have fought for us here
To make this so.
