When pain rolls back in
I say Oh No
But how do I say
It feels like an old friend
Everything has a beginning and an end

Waiting for the hydrocodone to kick in
I say Oh No...too slow
But how do I say
I'm leaving you soon
I can't stay

The pain is unbearable
I can't run away
But I can't stay
How am I going to tell you
I'm just trying to find my way

The pain is maxing out
I'm getting good at this old game
acting happy and hiding pain
but now I've got to say
I loved you, but it was too much
