Hourglass Poem by Randy Resh

Hourglass

HOURGLASS

Of sinew sear shearing
sandstorm savaging
furious miserous
maelstrom crossings

rapacious ravenous
ruinous regrettable
insanity's calamity
vast vacuous vanity

Through the unforgiving
impenetrable forgettables
tidal dune cresting
passing mounds tolling

Beyond the shifting
silicone scour siftings

our tesseract hourglass mask
...cracks...

Moonless meridian
for star speckled firmament

constellate letters pulse meter
mouths permanence

This animate moment
pronouncing remembrance

...all that you might recall
sift remnants of semblance

This day next year
next life pellucid plain

not one shining grain
the least would have waned

worlds unimagined
-save only but gained

Forsaking material terrestrial temporal
curs'd corruptible corporeal vehicle

From aching aeons' paean innumerable

I love YOU so

unequi-vocal

I letter you stellar
supernova torrential

shock-wave deluge
inundate transcendental

empty frame fountain
turn figure-eight funnel

unfathomed inconceivable

as before
immemorial
