Hour Of Hopelessness Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Hour Of Hopelessness

Forty words:

Lovers no longer in harmony.

Disagreements put out the fire.

Understanding had flown far faraway,

Repressing their youthful desire.

Sadly, romance was over...

Absence of love darkened their eyes.

The hour of hopelessness threatened

And goodbye came as no surprise.

Great expressions are often revealed in simple words. Your poem definitely does that Joyce. Disagreements and differences....the price paid at the end of the day is high...
