Horizons Poem by Randy McClave

Horizons

Don't allow your mistakes to crush you
As they all could as you already knew,
Place them all instead at your feet
And then kick them to the gutters in the street.

We all make mistakes that is who we are
And of course we all have our very own scar,
And of course we will all live and learn
But, sadly many of us instead will sink or burn.

Mistakes are indeed part of life
Someone's it's when you choose the wrong husband or wife,
Some mistakes you just decide to live with it
Then you just want to quit.

Sometimes mistakes are so very large
Sometimes they are as big as an ocean barge,
And they are always there in your way
And you think how long for that error must you pay.

Do not place your mistakes in your pockets, or in your purse
Carrying them around makes it much worse,
When you reach in to grab some hope or care
You will then see and remember the mistakes there.

Never, ever place your mistakes on your head
Always place them under your feet instead,
That way you can always stand on top of them
And then you can smile as you view the beautiful horizon.
