Hopelessly
I love to love you, painfully,
That's just the way it has to be,
I know it's much too late for me,
The forest sometimes kills the tree,
But I will love you all the same,
Today, tomorrow, endlessly,
For without knowing, painfully,
You did become the best in me.
Tenderly heart-wrenching poem, underlying love is the pain of no longer having it in life. The greatest sorrow we humans will ever go through is loss of loved ones, it changes us forever. Very gentle saddened beauty of love, Sandra. Great poem, it touched my heart also. Thank you, RoseAnn
