Hopeless Yet Poem by Danny The Dreamer Boyd

Hopeless Yet

A life has passed, another one is through,
And yet that burn in stone remains quite clear;
It yearns and aches for one who is not dear,
It melts at but the very thought of you;
This time at least I knew what I should do,
Since I just could not stand to see your bier
Before me, —everyday—hence filled with fear:
I—haply! —mad went and attention drew!
Some people go and still within us stay,
Those whom we loved and will do after all,
Although—alas! —some day they let us fall;
Oh, wretched me, I grace all lonesome dread,
And Hopeless, hoping yet for yesterday:
I won't move on until you're truly dead!
