Hope For The Hopeless Poem by Geody Harman

Hope For The Hopeless

Rating: 3.3

Hope for the hopeless who sit in despair,
Who bury their hands into frumpled up hair!

Though in this life with it's loss and it's pain,
There is hope in the wind, there is always a change.

Hope is a frail thought with faith trailing on,
It's the spark to a light, it's the first note of song.

Hope is the passion of heart burning through,
Hope is the feeling just starting in you...

Hope for a change that is better than life,
Hope in the chance that there's an end to this strife!

Hope for the hopeless begins in the heart,
It starts out as just a though from it's own start

It reaches into our soul like a faint light,
Just barely illuminating our darkened sight.

Hope is the first taste a starving man finds,
It's the first view of sight to the person born blind.

Hope is the seed in it's most tender state,
It's shell barely spreading, it's vine only fate.

What gives hope to hopeless, one may never know,
But I venture a guess to the hopeless lost soul.

It's the spark of the soul that is born in the light,
It's the center of being it's the core of what's right.

So remember the good in the moment of pain,
Let hope's light bring sunshine amid pouring rain.

There's hope for the hopeless, it's found a new place,
It has now been implanted and show on your face...

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I had just written Feathers in the Wind and The Tragedy of Loss and was very melancholy and sad even a little lonely and extremely emotionally drawn out to help the person who these were written for. And as I usually have a very positive outlook in life I felt to write this poem. I hope that you who read this gain something from it that may touch your heart and soul influencing it for the good. God Bless and please share your insights.

Like Pandora, I hold tight to the remaining light of hope. It saddens me to see, upon the faces of so many, the loss of belief...What great things, are accomplished, when tied to the thread of hope! Thank you for th pleasant reminder.....PEACE
