Lord, I honor Your Sabbath Day
to take the time to kneel and pray
with others that unite in thought
where truth is spoken and taught;
where agape love is well and living
no thought of getting but of giving
singing to You our songs of praise
learning more about You and Your ways.
Gathering together as one mind
sharing fellowship of one kind
we ask for strength to over-come
ask You to cleanse the things we've done
repenting, we change our wayward past
and ask from You, the things that last.
Thanks for the peace that passes understanding
we step aside and in faith do what Your planning
hoping in the resurrection of our being
faith in eternal life we're now not seeing.
