Hope Again. Poem by Tracee Olga

Hope Again.

From a broken heart utterly revived
From a dissolution heart completely dissolved
From broken dreams up flying again
Dead emotions alive again
From a losing battle faith still intact
From the constant throbbing in my head now calm
From the unsure strides now adorned with athletes' gait
From shaky hands now gracious as a giraffes trot
From a stiff waist now swaying steady as the wind
Dull eyes now brighter than the sun

Timid look now bolder
From sleepy eyes to alertness
From a frozen brain now hot with understanding
From pout lips to smiling beauty
Now I can look up and smile again
Look up from the engulfing darkness
Where I groped for far too long
Hope again from a chilling fear
From a hot temper that is consuming
From great hopelessness no sense of tomorrow
From a myriad of impossibilities

I dare say hope again
From a cacophony of confusion
I rise and hope again
So I say hope again
For I was lost and now am found
I was blind and now I see
I hope again for now I am not afraid to let go
I hope again
So my heart can learn to love again
For the loud silence to subside
Give way to victory laughter and joyful tears
I dare say, even in the darkest darkness
Hope again

Far from being convinced
Surrounded with uncertainty
Clasping to the only sure thing I know
My identity, which sometime is not that sure
As my progress is derailed with the past
Yet I dare say, hope again
For a hopeless life is a worthless life
So I hope again
