Hope Poem by Rajeswari A V

Hope

Rating: 4.0

None is waiting here to listen to my void sighs
Carrying no shadow of dismay
But, reminding the world around me
About the darkness engulfing my sole soul
A streak of brightness lies before me
Murmuring of a promising future
Yet, my immobile spirit fails to get it
And have its rays penetrated through it
Hope became a futile word
A worthless exercise of the very mind
Giving not even a glimpse of delight
Or a push to ride further
Yet, I hope, hope and hope again
To have my emptiness filled
With simple compassion and tender thoughts
That can breed the fruit of divine love
In my heart’s solitary valley
For the whole beings
Beside, beneath and beyond my presence

The feelings of loneliness are expressed very nicely here. Also the usage of simple words has made it much more beautiful.
